Abstract
As the industry of hydraulic machines, whether they are of conventional or new design, makes use of many sectors of activities, the hydraulic engineer of the future shall always be open-minded if he wishes to have perfect control of them. He shall be quite familiar wilh all kinds of subjects such as fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, structural analysis, technology, biology, acoustics... White the present modelling methods are a prompt approach to the solutions of the problems encountered, the hydraulic engineer shall be capable of drawing addilional information essential for the knowledge of real complex phenomenae from the experience on industrial prototypes.
