La protection des eaux minérales et des eaux de source: des zones de protection renforcées ?
The protection of mineral and spring water: reinforced zones of protection?
Université Paris VI
Abstract
The principal qualities of mineral and spring waters as regards potability are recalled, and the risks incurred by these reservoirs owing to the slow degradation of the environment due to human activities are reviewed. It is concluded that it is now urgent to establish reinforced zones of protection of the areas supplying these water resources, in which any polluting activity likely to threaten ground water would be prohibited. It is suggested that these zones of protection should be known as "Natural Hydro-geological Parks".
