Heat Storage in Surface Water. The Pilot Plants of Montreuil and Lyon Gerland

Deux types principaux de stockage ont été étudiés par le B.R.G.M. en fonction de l'existence ou non d'une circulation de la nappe concernée au droit du site. A Montreuil, un doublet captant l'aquifère yprésien fonctionne selon le système dit " Puits chaud - Puits froid " et permet le chauffage et la climatisation de 53 000 m2 de bureaux. Après 2 ans de fonctionnement, des bilans thermiques très satisfaisants peuvent être établis. A Lyon Gerland, un sotckage intersaisonnier des calories d'été du chauffage urbain est envisagé dans la nappe alluviale. Son originalité réside dans la confection d'une paroi moulée circulaire rendue nécessaire par la vitesse de circulation importante de cet aquifère.
Abstract
Two main types of storage were analyzed by the B.R.G.M. depending on whether or not circulation of the groundwater concerned existed in the location of the site. In Montreuil, a doublet collecting the Ypres aquifer operates according to the "hot well - cold well" system and allows heating and cooling of 53,000 m2 of office space. After two years of operation, very satisfactory thermal records can be drawn up. At Lyon Gerland, interseasonal storage of summer calories for urban heating in the alluvial groundwater is considered. The originality of this storage resides in construcion of a circular molded wall made necessary by the high flow rate of this aquifer.
