Abstract
The Decaver (an erosive cavitation detector), invented and used at the laboratory by Mr Chincholle, Professor at the Paris electrical engineering Laboratory, makes it possible to determine, in certain conditions, the erosive intensity of cavitation. A first assessment of this device in an industrial environment has been made on the G3 wheel frame at La Roche Bat l'Aigue. This article relates to the tests and the results obtained, especially determining a half-load erosion maximum, whatever the nature of outdoor weather conditions (water temperature, muddled water... ), whilst at full load the erosion is negligible.
