Influence d'une chaîne d'aménagements hydroélectriques sur le transport solide en rivière. Application au tiers central du Bas-Rhône français
Effect of a series of power stations on the sediment transport (bed load and suspended load) in a river. The case of the Central Third Part of the french Lower Rhône
Compagnie nationale du Rhône
Abstract
For the conception and the operation of the multi-purpose development of the Rhône, C.N.R. studied the possible effect of these development on the sediment transport and carried out varied experimentations in this field. The results are recollected.
After twenty years of operation of the multi-purpose development of the Rhône located between the river Isere junction and the river Ardeche junction, the period seems enough to draw up a balance sheet concerning the evolution of sediment deposits and erosion zones along the reservoirs and the bypassed sections. Such a balance sheet leans on results of periodic bathymetric surveys (facilitated by bathymetric modern methods and data processing) and on the well knowledge of the rive dredged materials volumes (river Rhône, tributaries, lock lay-by).
