Abstract
Satellite images enable us to study changes in the volume of a glacier, from the altitude at the limit of the firn line. Results obtained from 7 French glaciers show up a good homogeneity between changes in volume and the altitude of the firn line, thus enabling us to go back and see variations in the volume over all the French Alps.
