Abstract
This paper deals with the problem of dam shifting of alluvial deposits, in particuliar with the case of Ighil Emda (Algeria) dam. This dam amasses each year important quantities of mud. The authors examine the means engaged to stinggle against this phenomenon: drainage basin retimbering and density stream draining off thanks to a special clarifying device.
