Abstract

Inhabited areas protection against floods includes three periods:

- prevention with the application of flood risks prevention plans,

- preventive information concerning phenomena evolulion (starting from measurements and forecasting tools),

- the building of protection works after thinking about their influence on the upper and down-stream waters.
