Turbulence générée par phénomènes de chasse des barrages
Contribution to hydrodynamic study of upstream flow from a reservoir

Abstract
The setting up of hydraulic reserves (dams and flood docks including those which correspond to the tidal movement power supply plants) is a problem of vital importance which limits the productivity and useful life of these structures. The present study contributes to the analysis of sediment removal suspension conditions which favor the evacuation of sediments through a process of flushing thus permitting to increase the dam life. The suspension replacement of the sediments is a complex phenomenon. This study permits us to analyse the characteristics of the boundary layer near the dam bottom discharge. It is caused by a gradually varied flow and its origins moreover, undetermined. Its external conditions are, at the same time, fonction of both space and time.
