Abstract
Through is Turbine Technology Center, in charge of advanced Hydraulic R&D, ALSTOM Power, one of the world leader manufacturers in hydroelectric equipment's, demonstrates its confidence in the future of Hydro. Of course the market has changed in the past 10 years, today as we will explain new opportunities such as refurbishment and mini-hydro are becoming more important and have to be considered with particular attention. Hydroelectricity, the "biologically friendly energy" par excellence, renewable, sustainable, clean intends to do even better. Than Alstom Power, as we will see, pay a particular attention to environmental matters such as fish protection, non polluting machines, water quality... without of course disregarding traditional matters such as productivity, return on investment, reliability, innovation...
