Abstract

In this paper, the principal results of the GERHYCO project, supported by the Communauté de Travail des Pyrénées are presented. Its scientific and technical aims concerned the identification of control problem of hydrographical network and the proposal of control methods to improve the operational water management. The main results concern the measured data reliability, the performance improvement of water management by optimising the resource allocation and the use of supervised control strategy. These are described briefly and illustrated on several study cases. At short term, the integration of these methods is a scientific and technical challenge to satisfy the sustainable management objectives.
