Water and sewerage in Rostock: The transition from a state-owned company to a private concession
Eurawasser GmbH, Rostock
Abstract
Eurawasser, a joint venture of Suez Lyonnaise des Eaux and Thyssen Handelsunion, has achieved the Rostock water and sewerage contract. Eurawasser promises to resume all the services and staff, to carry out and finance the replacement and investment work for 900 million DM, to support all of the risks linked to the operation and investment. Although the saled volumes have gone down, Eurawasser respected their contract.
