Abstract
This paper describes the ideas underlying the design, and the development, of a software package, suited to the offline processing of data recorded by sewer monitoring systems. The core of this package is a multi-user relational database, which provides a fairly accurate description of the real-world features that are needed to get the best from measured values. So a description of the sewer system, as well as the monitoring system are included. Several modules allow to feed data into the database, and to process them. The processing tools include data validation, flow components analysis, and edition of specific reports. A special attention has been paid to control the reliability and consistency of end-results in relation with the availability and quality of the raw data.
