Abstract
The applied methods to the design of microirrigation lateral have been varied these last years in the purpose to master the distribution of water by microirrigation network and to decrease costs of energy. This mastery must make requirements of plants irrigated converge the distribution of water. This present paper has for goal to suggest design of the length lateral while using the method of Christiansen and control volume method. The application of the two methods showed a difference of the length of 54 m for the same coefficient of discharge uniformity and an identical pressure. The control volum method would bring a precious gain while assuring a better distribution of water and fertilizer by an effective network. It becomes a reference for applications on the land.
