La CPCU face à une crue de type 1910
The CPCU faced with a 1910 type flood
CPCU
Abstract
After a presentation of the heating network operated by the CPCU, this article sets out the foreseeable consequences on the installations of a flood of the level of that seen in 1910. In particular, questions relating to the supply of fuel, the availability of production means and the methods for the distribution network to operate are tackled in it, taking into account the disruption caused directly or indirectly by the flood. This analysis shows that, apart from the buildings situated in submerged areas, clients will remain supplied if the flood does not occur during a cold period. Otherwise, specific arrangements would be implemented to maintain the supply to priority clients, including hospitals.
The article then presents the method of returning to a normal situation and the means the CPCU has to face up to rise in the Seine.
Lastly, the author indicates the areas in which close co-operation needs to he established with the Public Authorities, in particular on the logistics and information front.
