Abstract
This article describes how data from the continuous measurements on the sewage network in Lorient town were used. After two years of collection the data were taken and analysed in order to quantify the extraneous waters into the wastewater system per catchmentent area. The results show that the Lorient network functions quite well since only 20% of the water it collects proceed from 1/1 problems (Infiltration and Inflow), and that there are notable differences between neighbourhoods. particularly for substandard connections which appear to be twice as common in the older neighbourhoods. These results will be used to guide the city's choices as to its future investments.
