Abstract
Is it possible to celebrate hydraulic millenniums without taking in account the diversity of sources which feed their course? In regard to this question, the present article propose to analyse Arabian mechanic contribution to medieval hydraulic history. After study of relations between Islam and water topic, the article deals with hydraulic definition field, origin of corps of hydraulic engineers and their works. The author complete with some examples of solutions to the question of urban water distribution in the towns of Valence and Fes.
