La communauté des hydrauliciens et celle du calcul scientifique sont attristées par le décès de André Daubert, survenu le 13 février 2020, à l'âge de 87 ans. André Daubert a joué un rôle éminent dans l'émergence de la simulation en hydraulique, à partir des années 1960. Il a joué ensuite un rôle très important dans le développement de l'informatique et du calcul scientifique. Il a été pendant plus de 15 ans président du comité de rédaction de La Houille Blanche.
Abstract
Both communities of hydraulicians and informatics are in sorrow following André Daubert's death, which happened on February 13th, 2020, at the age of 87. André Daubert played an essential part in the initial development of simulation in hydraulics, starting in the 1960s. He then carried the development of informatics and scientific computation at EDF. He has been for more than 15 years chairman of the editorial board of La Houille Blanche.
