L'évaluation des dommages et bénéfices environnementaux Exemple : L'évaluation des pertes d'aménités des pêcheurs à pied suite au naufrage de l'Erika
The valuation of environmental benefits and damages: Amenity losses of people fishing on foot after Erika's wreck
INRA Economie, Rennes
Abstract
Among the different socioeconomic impacts that result from an oil spill non-commercial effects represent an important part. But these costs are rarely estimated. Concerning the Erika's wreck we tried to value amenity losses suffered by people who came up against insuperable obstacles to practice fishing on foot. Using the travel coast approach we propose an estimation of the consumer surplus decrease. The total losses are as high as the clean-up costs (about € 100-120 million).
