Abstract
We present some technological tools that should help to adapt a mutation detection method from capillary electrophoresis to « lab on a chip ». The use of chips raises some specific problems, in particular the control of channel coating and the suppression of spurious flow in channels. Our approach was to use adsorbed neutral polymers as a coating in order to avoid electroosmotic flows. We also present here a robust system for flow control in a microchannel system, based on a dynamic control of reservoir pressures at the end of each channel.
